Ridgeway Rovers was established in 2019 by Danny Cocker & James Maulgue, who entered a Men's Sunday League team into the Swindon Sunday League. The idea was to bring about a team with a different kind of ethos, promoting inclusion, development & good practices.

Since being established, we have fielded a squad consecutively across 5 seasons, and are now adding more teams to the Club, with the vision to eventually have squads across all age groups.

Pairing ourselves with local charities & initiatives, we make sure we are providing all kinds of support to the local community. Our sponsors have been a major asset in how we deliver football and expand the opportunities for further development.

Our coaching teams are given the opportunity to develop further, with our subsidised access to the FA Coaching Licence courses, as well as an amazing support network across the club, to help in their journey.

Danny stepped down for season 23/24, where James continued to Chair the club and subsequently brought in a management team for the Sunday side. Our badge was changed in 2023 to a more streamlined design, but our values are still the same as day 1.

We're only getting started on our journey, and the 24/25 season will be a big season for the Club as a whole. As we now have a squad & management team ready to enter the Swindon & District Saturday League, as well as setting up a Womens team to compete in the Ladies League.

We welcome all contact from potential Players, we run training sessions throughout the week. If you're a Coach looking to establish a Team, we would be incredibly supportive to assist with the set up of a new squad.
